IRAN, world’s biggest producer of  PISTACHIO

According to historical documents , the primary growth area of wild pistachio trees was in the northeast of IRAN.

IRAN is the first producer of pistachio in the world according to the FDA standard. In 2012 about 129.000 tones of pistachio was exported by FAO, the annual amount of pistachio production in IRAN constitutes more than 60% of the world pistachio production.

Pistachio nuts are an excellent source of protein. Unsalted pistachios have a high-potassium & low-sodium content which helps to normalize blood pressure, maintain water balance in the body and strengthen muscles. Pistachio nuts are also a good source of vitamin E which boosts the immune system and alleviates fatigue.

IRAN has the original home of the pistachio has always had the largest harvest and production areas.
